    Flame Bread Loaf Baker is made from refractory ceramic and features a domed lid. The enclosed environment, along with holes in the base and lid, help create the perfect humidity level to produce a bread with a crispy crust on the outside and soft crumb on the inside.

    Ridges on the base help to prevent the dough from sticking. It may also be sprinkled with cornmeal or lined with parchment paper to create a “sling” to easily lift the loaf from the pan. The side handles on the lid allow for easy grasping when using pot holders or oven mitts. Loaf pan works well with sourdough, rye, whole grain, ancient grain and even gluten-free sandwich breads; holds approximately 1.5 lbs-1.75 lbs or .68-.80 kilos of dough, max.

    Food safe Longuet bread lame sports a straight-edge blade and an easy-to-hold ergonomic handle. Used to make vertical or diagonal scores on loaves prior to baking to allow bread to open up during baking and obtain rise or "oven spring" without tearing.

    Lame is delivered with an easy-to-change blade, removable, protective cap and an instruction card with quick tips and examples of classic scoring patterns. Experiment with basic patterns, then create your own signature style.
