  • When I make soup or fry food,the skimmer is a necessary gadget.I use the spoon to skim foam off cooking broth and remove the some tiny bits of burnt stuff left from the past frying. I also used the skimmer for fishing fried food out of oil or scooping food out of boiling water.

  • The handle is very strong and it is long enough. 9 inches length(including the handle) + 4 inches diameter mesh, The long handle makes it nice for skimming in a deeper pan.It is long enough so you can't get burned It has a hook on the end and can hang this along with my other utensils.
